1. Pilates is for 'girls'

Yes, a lot of women do Pilates.  More than men at least.  One of the reasons, I think , Is because it's doesn't appear to be competitive. You can't tell who is the strongest, or the fitest, or the fastest in the room.  But you're missing a trick here. You can compete against yourself. You can challenge yourself to do one more rep, or move up to the next level. One great thing about Pilates, Is that everyone in the room can be doing the same exercise , in a different way, and everyone can be working just as hard.

 

2. You have to be flexible to do Pilates.

No. You will become flexible by doing Pilates. 

 

3. You have to be thin to do pilates.

Again, no. Pilates will improve your posture so much, you will instantly appear taller and slimmer
