My name is Carole. I am married and have 2 boys - well, men actually - and a new puppy and an adopted cat. I work full time with my husband running our own business.

So. How did I end up as a Pilates instuctor?

Well I was passionate about gymnastics from as early as I can remember. I was never the right way up - apparently!

By the age of 13, I was training 7 days a week and competing at a high level, and infact was training for  my grade 3 at the age of 15 when injury stopped me in my tracks.

At 18, after moving to the area, I began coaching gymnastics to children at Sundorne, Shrewsbury.

Then, after my sons became as passionate about swimming as I had been about gymnastics, I decided to use their pool time more wisely by becoming a swimming teacher for their club- whilst swimming with Oswestry Otters (the  oldies!)

Throughout all this time I have been a massive fan of yoga and Pilates, and when my children were both driving, and I felt surplus to requirements, I decided to do something totally selfish - and trained as a Pilates instructor.  I haven't looked back!

I love it so much and totally 'get' it.  Whether it's my gymnastic background, the fact that I can't sit still for too long, or the realisation that no matter how fit you are - or aren't, How supple you are - or aren't, or how strong you are, or aren't. Everyone should have Pilates in their life. If you're old, young, rehabilitating from an injury, a driver, an office worker, a labourer, an athlete, or a couch potato. You need Pilates.

My motto. Use it or lose it. And I have no intention of losing it.

It is my intention to still be doing this when I'm old and grey!
